# Print barcode and QR labels

Stick a label on every item so your cashier can scan it at the POS. POSMaster prints barcodes and QR codes on normal A4 sticker sheets or on a label printer roll. Open it from **Catalogue → Print labels**. You need the *labels.print* permission.

## Add products to the label list

1. In the search box (*Search product or scan barcode to add…*) type a name, SKU or barcode. Click the product, or press <kbd>Enter</kbd> to pick the first suggestion.
2. Or scan the barcode of a product with your scanner. The product is added to the list.
3. Repeat for every product that needs labels. Adding the same product again increases its number of labels by one.
4. In the **Labels** column type how many labels you want for each row (1 to 500).
5. Use ✕ to remove a row.

Every variant is a separate row, because each variant has its own barcode. A quick way to print all the variants of one product: open the product page and click **Print labels**. All its variants are added for you with 1 label each.

## Choose the options

On the right side, under **Options**:

| Option | Choices |
|--------|---------|
| **Code** | **Barcode**, **QR code** or **Barcode + QR** |
| **Sheet** | **A4 — 24 per sheet (3×8)**, **A4 — 40 per sheet (4×10)**, **A4 — 65 per sheet (5×13)** or **Label printer roll (50×30 mm)** |
| **Product name** | Print the product (and variant) name |
| **Price** | Print the selling price |
| **Business name** | Print your business name from **Settings → Business** |

- The barcode follows the type set on the product (EAN-13 or Code 128) and prints the number under it.
- The QR code contains the product **SKU**. Both the barcode and the QR code are recognised by the POS scanner and camera.
- 24 per sheet gives big labels (64 × 34 mm), 40 per sheet is the usual choice (48 × 26 mm) and 65 per sheet gives tiny labels (38 × 21 mm), which only fit a short name and a barcode.

## Preview and print

1. Click **Preview & print**. The labels open in a new browser tab so you can check them. The button at the top shows how many labels will be printed, for example **Print (40)**.
2. Click **Print**. The browser print window opens.
3. Choose your printer and apply the settings below.

### Print settings that matter

For labels to line up with the stickers, set these in the print window:

- **Scale: 100%** (also called "Actual size"). Do **not** use "Fit to page" or "Shrink to fit".
- **Margins: None.** The page already contains its own spacing.
- **Paper size: A4** for sheet labels. For the roll, choose a custom size of **50 × 30 mm** (in your label printer's driver).
- Turn off **Headers and footers** so the date and web address are not printed on the labels.
- Turn on **Background graphics** if the barcode looks too light.

> **Tip:** Print one test page on plain paper and hold it against a sheet of stickers to the light before you waste labels.

> **Note:** On the roll layout, each label is its own page, so the printer cuts or advances one label at a time.

> **Warning:** If barcodes do not scan, the label is usually printed too small or blurred. Use the 24 or 40 per sheet layouts, a good printer quality and 100% scale.
